Collection: Baltic Aquascaphe GMT

A nomad's wrist essential

For those seeking a timepiece with added functionality, Baltic has expanded its Aquascaphe collection by introducing a series of tool watches known as the GMT line. Aimed at today’s global trotters, the GMT timepieces can track the time in your current location, but can also show you what time it is back at home. Baltic's GMT models seamlessly blend the classic utilitarian design of the Aquascaphe line with a heightened retro aesthetic, retaining the effortlessly legible dial and crisp lines that have become hallmarks of the collection.

Unforgettable bezel design

Baltic’s GMT collection evokes the timeless charm of vintage GMT watches from the 1960s. Featuring a compact 39mm case, the watches are visually captivating thanks to their sophisticated two-tone color schemes. As a notable detail, the bidirectional bezel features its own sapphire glass protecting the colored 24-hour scale underneath.

The GMT advantage

Baltic Aquascaphe GMT models feature a dedicated GMT hand that is independently adjustable. This allows users to set the GMT arrowhead shaped hand to the time in another time zone while the other hands remain to your local time. Thanks to the rotating bezel with a 24-hour scale, it’s possible to track a third time zone, making it
even more versatile for travelers. Baltic has also added a date complication to GMT models at 6 o’clock.

  • Deep dive-friendly

The GMT models maintain the signature Aquascaphe aesthetic on their dials. These feature a prominent 12 o’clock numeral, complemented by Super LumiNova-coated circular and triangle indices positioned against a black background. The see-in-the dark material is also applied to the sapphire bezel for optimal readability in obscurity.

  • Swiss movement inside

The Baltic Aquascaphe GMT models are built around the Swiss Soprod C125 movement. It’s an automatic winding movement with a power reserve of 42 hours, a date and a GMT function that guarantees consistent functionality over extended periods of time.

  • Every detail matters

Baltic didn’t ignore the caseback while designing the Aquascaphe GMT models. It features an engraving of a word-time layout that displays the main time zones as well as a map of the world at the center. GMT function aside, these are still diving watches at the core so all models feature water resistance up to 100 meters.
