With the Aquascaphe Dual Crown lineup, Baltic departs from convention, offering a unique and innovative approach to dive watch design. In the 1960s, the super compressor emerged as a revolutionary concept, featuring a unique construction and enhanced water resistance capabilities. Inspired by the vintage super compressive model, Baltic has introduced its modern reinterpretation with the Aquascaphe Dual Crown series. The collection pays tribute to the spirit of innovation that characterized the 1960s while incorporating the compressor's signature water pressure-activated case tightening mechanism into a contemporary timepiece.

Upping the bezel game

On top of the excellent compressing case, the Aquascaphe Dual Crown watches boast another notable eye-catcher. Baltic has swiped the traditional rotating bezel of classic dive watches for an bidirectional “internal bezel” that can track elapsed time underwater in conjunction with the minute hand. In addition to offering a unique and distinctive appearance, this type of bezel provides an additional layer of protection for the watch mechanism by enclosing it within the case. On the Dual Crown, it features a distinctive brushed "tourbillion finish."

Double trouble

Internal bezel aside, this Aquascaphe collection distinguishes itself through the inclusion of dual crowns. The crown at 4 o’clock is dedicated to precise time adjustments, while the non-screw-down crown at 2 o’clock controls the inner bezel, enabling seamless underwater operation. Both crowns flaunt an engraved cross-hatch design which is a nod to the original super compressor watches of the 60s.
