For those who appreciate true elegance on their wrist, the French brand Baltic presents the MR dress watch collection. With two refined dial options, each excluding timeless style, the collection offers an effortless blend of fashion-forward appeal and sophistication.
Baltic has built a reputation for crafting visually striking timepieces. Founded in 2017 by Etienne Malec, the brand has rapidly expanded, now making its mark in the dress watch category with the MR collection. While many modern watches feature standard, uniform dials, Baltic sought to create something more distinctive. Drawing inspiration from vintage sector dials—known for their layered textures and intricate details—the brand reimagined them trough a contemporary lens, giving rise to the refined MR collection.
At the heart of Baltic’s MR collection lies the CAL500a micro-rotor movement, an automatic calibre crafted by Hangzhou and offering a 42-hour power reserve. Flip the watch over, and through the exhibition caseback, you’ll discover a mesmerising display-the off-centre golden rotor, complemented by vivid blue screws, rich red rubies, and golden gears – which all contrast elegantly against the silver base.

An unmistakable character
Baltic’s MR Classic models offer a blend of traditional elegance and striking visual details. Coming with a 36mm case and a textured dial adorned with Breguet numerals, these timepieces are a nod to vintage refinement. A defining feature is the off-centre seconds counter at 7 o’clock, featuring a guilloché finish those contrasts strikingly with the rest of the dial for added visual appeal.
A bold new spin
Baltic decided to shake things up with the Roulette models, adding a fresh take to the MR collection. While the case stays at a comfortable 36mm, the dial undergoes transformation – gone are the Breguet numerals, replaced by Baltic’s distinctive serif font. The real standout? The hour markers are arranged in a roulette-wheel style, encircled by a crisp railroad minute track. Meanwhile, the tiny seconds counter at 7 o’clock remains as a familiar signature of the collection.
