Magrette’s Moana collection is best-known for its sports and dive models. However, the New Zealand brand has decided to expand the collection with a series of women’s models simply called Moana, meaning “ocean” in Māori. Coming with a 38mm case made of stainless steel with engraved sides, the Moana also stands out through a guilloché-style dial texture. The watch features a sandwich dial construction and boasts oversized and lumed Arabic numerals at cardinal points. A pair of obelisk-shaped hands, also coated with LumiNova, make for easy time reading. The Moana draws power from a Swiss-made Sellita SW260 movement, which also adds a small seconds counter at 6 o’clock. Staying true to the Moana’s sporty/dive character, the women’s models ship with a 200m water resistance rating and an FMK rubber strap colour matched to the dial.
