ALTO

ALTO

Among today’s sea of independent watchmakers, Alto sets itself apart as a brand unafraid to challenge the ordinary. Led by Thibaud Guittard, a concept car enthusiast and art connoisseur, whose background at Audemars Piguet fueled his creative ambitions, Alto was founded on the belief that a watch should be both an object of art and a vessel of feeling. Backed by a team of innovators, Alto’s mission is to redefine how we experience every second.

ALTO

Unapologetically distinct

Breaking free from the ordinary, Alto reimagines what a watch can be. Eschewing the traditional round silhouette, Alto’s designs captivate with a bold octagonal case inspired by the design of '70s model cars, crafted from distinctive materials such as titanium. Models are crowned with a sapphire crystal of remarkable complexity, featuring both curved and faceted outer surfaces, and a hemispherical inner surface. Sized at 41mm, these timepieces command attention and make a powerful style statement when worn.

At Alto, innovation thrives on collaboration. A dynamic group of visionaries, including author and photographer Mathieu Césa, watch designer Barth Nussbaumer, and artist Yorgo Tloupas, have joined forces to craft watches that push the boundaries of design. As a result, Alto’s models capture the very essence of contemporary, avant-garde watchmaking. For those ready to leave the ordinary behind, the brand unlocks a new dimension of style and sophistication.

ALTO HIGHLIGHTS

Classic ideals, modern lines

Alto’s dial design is a compelling tribute to two powerful muses: light and the enduring aesthetics of ancient Greece. Its bead-blasted, black-coated brass surface is etched with hexagonal patterns that respond to light like carved marble touched by the sun. In a daring twist, the seconds hand moves counterclockwise, while the hour and minute hands rotate classically—a subtle symbol of Alto’s commitment to challenging convention.

Driven by purpose, designed for impact

At the heart of Alto’s timepieces lies the refined micro-rotor automatic A01 movement developed by Le Cercle des Horlogers, under the creative direction of Barth Nussbaumer. Its architecture combines clean lines, geometric bridges, and a mix of openworked and standard elements, all revealed through the sapphire exhibition caseback. With a 48-hour power reserve, it’s built for performance and presence alike.
