Dennison
Boxy meets bold
Dennison’s new watches make an immediate impression thanks to their distinctive 37mm cushioned square case. Available in either stainless steel or gold-tone cases, the A.L.D serves up different permutations of dials. From the eye-catching stone dials crafted in malachite, aventurine, or red agate, to the cleverly executed dual-time models, and capped off by the gradient models with their radial bursts of colour, all timepieces showcase Dennison’s design-led approach.
Dennison is a name that dates back to the very beginnings of watchmaking. After a long absence, the historic brand has been brought back to life, this time with a fresh and distinctly modern vision. At the creative helm is none other than Emmanuel Gueit, the mind behind the iconic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore. Marking Dennison’s return to contemporary horology is the A.L.D., a line that pays tribute to the brand’s founder, Aaron Lufkin Dennison, while setting the tone for its future.
Dennison HIGHLIGHTS
Looks great, works better
While the modern models captivate with their exterior design, Dennison has paid equal attention to what lies beneath. Powered by Swiss-made quartz movements, the collection delivers dependable precision and everyday efficiency, while allowing the cases to remain slim and lightweight. A 30-metre water-resistance rating across the range ensures the watches are well-suited to daily wear.
A collaboration like no other
For the Date Night limited edition model, Time+Tide joined forces with Dennison to create a timepiece that is as much art as it is watchmaking. Its mother-of-pearl dial showcases the meticulous marquetry technique, with hand-inlaid nacre filaments creating a shimmering, multidimensional effect. On the reverse, the caseback is adorned with Pietro Pilla’s engraved depiction of the doorway to Time+Tide’s London Watch Discovery Studio, adding a unique artistic signature.
