Nivada Grenchen’s resurgence continues with the Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver. Under the leadership of French entrepreneur Guillaume Laidet and Remi Chabrat, CEO of Montrichard Group, the heritage brand is breathing new life into its iconic timepieces. The Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver takes centre stage, drawing inspiration from the historical model launched in the early 1960s, a period of time that saw rapid innovation and sports and instrument watches.
The dial layout stays true to its roots, offering a clean and functional design. Two chronograph sub-dials provide crucial timing functions: a 30-minute counter with a red sector at 3 o’clock (can be used for regatta timing) and a running seconds counter at 9 o’clock. A tachymeter scale along the outer edge allows for speed calculation. The pièce de résistance is the bidirectional rotating bezel with a dual scale – a 60-minute scale for diving and a smaller 12-hour scale for displaying a second time zone.
