Mido Ocean Star Decompression Timer 1961 - Black Dial - Limited Edition
The Ocean Star Decompression Timer 1961 reproduces the irresistible vintage charm of the Ocean Star Skin Diver Watch, a popular 1960s MIDO model that remains one of the brand's most sought-after original timepieces to date. Dedicated to the underwater world, this watch also served as a precious diving tool thanks to the multicoloured display of decompression stops on the dial. It uses the best of current technology to revive the striking codes of the time, namely a rotating bezel with countdown timer and a coloured table beneath a "glassbox"-style sapphire crystal. This watch is equipped with the Caliber 80, which offers a power reserve of up to 80 hours. Each model comes with three easily interchangeable strap options.
The Mido Ocean Decompression Timer 1961 is now available for Pre-Order in Australia exclusively from Time+Tide Watches. The watch is scheduled to be delivered in September / October 2020.
CALIBER 80
The Caliber 80 from Mido is a next-generation automatic watch movement which offers up to 80 hours of power reserve, twice as much as a regular calibre. It is also available as a chronometer that has been officially certified by the COSC (Contr??le Officiel Suisse des Chronom??tres) for its superior accuracy.
STAINLESS STEEL
Mido exclusively uses high-grade 316L stainless steel for its steel components to ensure complete and continued compatibility with the skin. This material resists corrosion, is unaffected by magnetic fields and demonstrates excellent durability, making Mido’s stainless steel watches enduring creations that can stand the test of time and weather the elements. RETURNS & EXCHANGES
Your item can be returned 30 days after purchase for any reason for a full refund. Return requests can be initiated through the self-serve form at the bottom of our Refunds and Exchanges page. Once your request is received, our team will contact you to arrange the return of your watch. Returned items must be unused and in their original packaging. We reserve the right to refuse a return if the product(s) show signs of wear.
WARRANTY
Every Mido watch comes with an international manufacturer’s warranty of two years.
Mido's warranty covers all manufacturing defects occurring during normal use, as described in their warranty conditions. Mido will replace free of charge any defective components due to a manufacturing error found by their workshop.
Please note Mido's warranty is not applicable in the following cases:
- Theft, loss.
- Wear and tear and normal ageing of the watch (scratched glass, impact on the case...)
- All types of damage to the entire watch (or part of it) resulting from improper handling or use, lack of maintenance, negligence, accident (drop, scratch, crush, broken glass, etc.), improper use of the watch or failure to follow the instructions provided.
- All types of damage indirectly related or consequential to normal wear and tear of the watch, such as non-functioning, defects or inaccuracies of the watch.
This warranty is void if the watch has been damaged by accident, negligence of persons other than authorised Mido sales or services agents, unauthorised service, or other factors not due to defects in materials or workmanship.
The warranty is void if the serial numbers or product date codes or other tracking marks have been removed, altered or obliterated.
