Born in Los Angeles in 2017, Nodus is an independent watch brand dedicated to pushing technical boundaries through hands-on research and development. Nodus outfits the Contrail GTM with a fully lumed sapphire bezel, split into two colors across a 24-hour scale and capable of 48 clicks in either direction. Its dial is built for readability, featuring luminous 3D indices and sharply cut hands, complemented by a colorful GMT arrow-shaped hand with lume at the tip. An inner rehaut with its own 24-hour scale enables tracking of a third time zone. At the base of the dial, Nodus has included a date window to balance the layout.
The Contrail GMT is named after the vapor trails left in the wake of high-flying aircrafts, a fitting name for a watch designed for travelers. True to Nodus’ commitment to functional design, it comes in a 40.5mm stainless steel case with a balanced 46.6mm lug-to-lug span and just 11.8mm in thickness, domed crystal included. A screw-down crown, knurled for precision handling and flanked by protective guards, underscores the watch’s durability for daily wear and global journeys alike.

At the heart of the Contrail GTM is the Miyota 9075, a flyer-style GMT caliber with a 42-hour power reserve, perfect for frequent travelers. Flip the watch over and the movement reveals itself through an exhibition caseback, complete with hand-finished perlage on the movement holder and frame. A robust Viton gasket seals the case, helping to deliver 200m of water resistance. All Nodus watches, including the Contrail GMT, are assembled in-house in Los Angeles.
