Monta Atlas

Built for effortless reading

Monta has crafted the Atlas dial to be effortlessly legible in every situation. Each hour is defined by applied indices with oversized markers at 3, 9, and 12 for added emphasis. Coated with Super-Luminova BG W9, they shine with a blue luminescence after dark. Between each, fine printed hash marks subtly chart the minutes. At 6 o’clock, a bold date window with a highly polished frame adds balance and function to the dial.

At 38.5mm in diameter and just 10.7mm thick, the Monta Atlas is purpose-built to sit comfortably on nearly any wrist. A closer look reveals an angled inner flange with a crisp GTM scale: odd hours denoted with bold numerals, evens marked by finely colored hashmarks. The details vary by model, with orange accents energizing the blue and black version, and cool blue tones highlighting the silver dial. Framing it all is a fixed stainless steel bezel with a brushed radial finish.

On the Atlas, Monta’s attention to detail shines through the handset. Sword-style hour and minute hands are polished and faceted, their rhodium surfaces brightened with lume for day-to-night readability. Meanwhile, the GMT hand, with its arrow-shaped tip, echoes the vibrant color cues found elsewhere on the dial.

The true strength of the Atlas

The Atlas relies on the in-house Monta Caliber M-23, a self-winding Swiss mechanical movement with a bidirectional rotor. With a 56-hour power reserve, it’s built to keep pace with modern life. Turn the watch over, and its craftsmanship is revealed through the exhibition caseback. Monta also includes a 150m water resistance rating and a steel bracelet, which Monta proudly calls “the most comfortable on the planet.”
