Launched in 2016 in St. Louis, Monta pays homage to Swiss horology through its meticulously crafted timepieces. Every watch in the Monta lineup blends uncompromising quality, beautiful design, and state-of-the-art watchmaking, offering a fresh perspective on what modern Swiss-inspired sports watches can be.
Founded by Michael DiMartini, who is also the person behind Everest Bands, an accessory brand popular with Rolex wearers, Monta takes this dedication to attention to detail and channels it into watchmaking. Their first entry into the watch market was the OceanKing, a bold diving watch inspired by the sports timepieces of the ‘50s and ‘60s. Others soon have followed, including several GMT models, a field collection, as well as dressy sport options.
The name Monta is a tribute to the Jura Mountains (“montagne” in French) – home to some of the finest watchmakers in the world. The nod isn’t just symbolic; it defines the brand’s unwavering commitment to pursuing Swiss principles in watchmaking. In line with this vision, Monta collaborates solely with Swiss manufacturers to uphold an uncompromising standard of quality. Final inspections are conducted in-house, ensuring each watch embodies the precision, elegance, and endurance that define Swiss horology.
Monta HIGHLIGHTS
Monta’s slim answer to global timekeeping
For the modern jetsetter or everyday explorer, the Monta Atlas offers GMT functionality in a streamlined package. Its 38.5mm case and 10.2mm profile ensure it wears effortlessly. Skipping the traditional external bezel, the Atlas features instead a 24-hour track integrated into the dial, which is offered in either a sunburst or lacquer finish. Inside, the trusted Sellita SW330 GTM movement keeps things tracking across time zones. Rounding it all out is Monta’s signature bracelet, designed with such attention to comfort that some call it the best in the game.
Everyday elegance, the Monta way
With the Noble, Monta introduces a more elegant expression of its design language, one that balances slim proportions with signature detailing. Measuring 38.5mm across and only 9.5mm thick, the case delivers an understated profile without sacrificing presence. The dial, offered in a choice of gradient or lacquer finish, features multidimensional rehault and applied indices, crowned by a striking double marker at 12 o’clock. Underlying all this is Monta’s Caliber M-22 self-winding movement, which ensures reliable performance.
