Our Best Vintage-Inspired Watches

Looking for a vintage-inspired watch to travel back in time? We have got you covered.

1. Tissot PRX 35mm Powermatic 80 - Ice Blue

If you're a fan of blue dials, take a look at the icy blue waffle dial on this retro-modern timepiece from Tissot. It pairs with an integrated stainless steel bracelet that ends with a butterfly clasp.

This slim watch is an upgrade of the Tissot PRX quartz model, and has been fitted with the Powermatic 80 automatic movement which promises a power reserve of 80 hours. It features a Nivachron spring for maximum precision and comes with a date window at 3 o'clock.

2. Hamilton American Classic Boulton Quartz

Hankering for a "movie star" watch? Try this 27mm Art Deco piece from Hamilton. It adorned Harrison Ford's wrist in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

A striking white rectangular tonneau dial enclosed in a gold PVD-coated steel case pairs up with a brown leather strap to make this stylish dress watch. The Arabic-style numerals and the sub-seconds dial at 6 o'clock elevate the look further.

While the Boulton is available in both mechanical and battery-powered versions, we have featured the latter here.

3. Fears Brunswick 38 White

If you're all about understated elegance, the Fears Brunswick 38 is the perfect match for your wrist. Fears has brought back this graceful cushion-cased beauty from 1924 and we're thankful for it.

Our pick here features a hand-polished white lacquer dial with a handmade "Fears Blue" Bristol Leather strap. It's powered by the trusty Swiss-made ETA 7001 manual-winding movement. Each timepiece has a distinct number engraved on it between the lugs at 12 o'clock, making your watch unique!

The 38mm version of the Brunswick gives you a couple of other glorious dial options: champagne and salmon.

4. Mido Commander Icone - Stainless Steel with Yellow Gold PVD - Milanese mesh in stainless steel with yellow gold PVD bracelet

One of Mido's most recognisable designs, the Commander from 1959, gets a tribute with the Commander Icône. The latter is a great choice in the 42mm dress watch category. It features a day-date window at 3 o'clock, and is powered by the Caliber 80 Chronometer Silicon, which brings high accuracy and 80 hours of power reserve.

While a couple of subtle Icône versions are available, we particularly love this gold-on-gold combination featuring a gold-toned sunray satin-finished dial and an integrated gold PVD Milanese mesh bracelet.

5. Baltic Aquascaphe Bronze Brown - Black Tropic Strap

Love the vintage charm of the Baltic Aquascaphe? See it skyrocket in this sapphire-bezelled bronze version that promises to acquire a lovely warm patina as it moves through life on your wrist.

This stunning 39mm diver with 200m water resistance is powered by the reliable Miyota 9039 movement. It features a fumé dial with subtly aged Super-LumiNova elements and a perforated dive strap that keeps the vintage aesthetic intact.

If you want a trendsetting daily wearer that oozes old-school cool, head straight for the Aquascaphe Bronze Brown.

6. Hamilton American Classic Intra-Matic Auto Chrono

You'll find a few panda dial chronographs under $3000, but we suggest this 40mm cream version from Hamilton that has the three magic ingredients: style, story, and substance.

This sporty classic, based on a signature piece from the '60s, is powered by Hamilton's H-31 movement, which carries a power reserve of 60 hours.

The dial features two black azurage-finish subdials, applied luminescent hour markers, and a discreet date window at 6 o'clock—all enclosed within a black tachymeter scale. Wrapping up the retro look is the Milanese-style mesh bracelet made of stainless steel.

7. Nivada Grenchen F77 Blue With Date

If you're after a no-nonsense, vintage-inspired "sporty chic" watch with decent water resistance for a daily wearer, the F77 is a safe choice.

A faithful reissue of a '70s classic, the F77 keeps its 37mm sizing to ensure a slim profile. Powering this modern take is the Swiss-made SOPROD P024 automatic movement with a 38-hour autonomy.

You're spoilt for choice with the F77 variants! We have chosen a basket-weave blue dial with a date window at 3 o'clock, but you can pick a different colour, skip the date window, or go for one of the stone-dialled versions, a couple of which feature both stainless steel and titanium bracelet options.
