Our Best Brown Dial Watches

Chocolate dials look delectable and it's high time you added one to your collection. Discover the finest best brown dial watches that are available today from Time+Tide.

1. Baltic Hermétique Tourer Bronze Brown

With a bronze case, brown fumé dial, Super-LumiNova-treated accents, and a matching brown strap, this model is a vintage dream. Offering oversized Roman numerals and slender baton indexes, the Baltic Hermétique's dial ensures easy readability at a glance. Two polished bronze rings separate the dial centre from the railroad track, drawing the eye with deliberate elegance.

The watch takes advantage of a compact 37mm case made of 316L stainless steel, 150m depth rating, and the 42-hour Japanese automatic movement Miyota 9039. With this watch on your wrist, you can easily leave an ever lasting impression!

2. Nivada Grenchen Super Antarctic 3.6.9 Tropical

The Antarctic 3.6.9 is a great beater watch for Nivada fans. It's a 38mm strap monster that recreates a retro timepiece with a few modern upgrades such as a sapphire glass, SOPROD P024 movement, and screw-down crown for 100m water resistance.

With a stainless steel case, dark dial, and Super-LumiNova-treated hands and markers, the Antarctic 3.6.9 has a medium-to-high contrast. The subtle ageing of the dial and hands adds to the authenticity of the vintage look, and so does the gold medallion on the caseback.

3. Tissot Gentleman Powermatic 80 Silicium Solid 18K Gold bezel with Brown Leather Strap

The Gentleman is a good choice if you want something that strikes the right balance between dressiness and sportiness visually. Its brown crosshair dial is framed by an 18k rose gold bezel insert embedded in a 40mm stainless steel case on a brown leather strap.

Underneath the sapphire crystal you'll see rose gold indices and matching dauphine hands, plus a date window at 3 o'clock. The open caseback reveals the self-winding Powermatic 80 movement, which has a silicon spring and an impressive 80-hour autonomy.

4. MIDO Multifort TV Big Date - Gold PVD - Rubber Strap

A TV-shaped case and a big date function at 12 o'clock dominate the visuals (and the name) of this watch. The case seems inspired by Patek Philippe's Aquanaut.

With a horizontal brushed finish and blocky luminous accents, the smoky brown dial makes a striking picture. It pairs with a 40mm gold PVD-treated case on a robust rubber strap. Driving this timepiece is Caliber 80, an ETA 2824-2-based movement with an 80-hour power reserve. It's on display through the caseback.

A sturdy form, highly legible dial, and a 100m depth rating make the Multifort TV Big Date a good field watch material.

5. Nivada Grenchen F77 Brown Smoked with Date

The next brown dial on our list is part of a sporty-looking 100m timepiece from Nivada Grenchen’s F77 collection. It has a radial gradient and features the so-called ‘carbon effect’ basket-weave texture, as well as prominent baton indexes. Hiding at the 3 o'clock spot is a date window, but the no-date model is also available.

Sandwiched between the dial and the sapphire-glass caseback is the Swiss-made SOPROD P24 automatic movement that comes with a 38 hours of power reserve.

Staying true to the original Nivada Grenchen design, the F77 features a classic 37mm case and a slim 12.65mm profile—perfectly proportioned to ensure a refined wrist presence.

This desert red watch from Serica looks more brown to our eyes, especially since it's coupled with a matte brown strap, so that's why we've included into this list.

Crafted for those with a love for adventure, this GMT boasts a polished two-tone ceramic bezel that rotates bidirectionality. The dial is minimalist yet distinctive, featuring hour markers shaped like lines ending in circular accents—offering both style and utility for the modern travellers.

Naturally, the watch features a matching GMT hand for easy time-zone tracking. Powering the watch is the COSC-certified Soprod C125 movement, ensuring chronometer-level precision. Serica rounds things out with 200m of water resistance and end-links that integrate beautifully with the case.

7. Furlan Marri x Time+Tide Outback Elegy Edition

We conclude with a special edition brown dial watch that was created in a partnership between Swiss watch brand Furlan Marri and none other than Time+Tide. A tribute to the mystique of the Australian outback, this limited edition watch captures earthy tones and deep contrast, elevating the classic Furlan Marri Mechanical into something extraordinary.

The Outback Elegy edition swaps the traditional Roman numerals for refined Breguet Arabics, perfectly complementing its geometric sector dial. The grained texture, topped with high-gloss lacquer, brings a sophisticated sheen to the design.

In addition, a clear caseback reveals the beauty of the La Joux-Perret G100 automatic movement—a reliable Swiss engine with serious credentials. A supple leather strap and 50m water resistance make it ready for daily wear.

The watches above are the perfect examples of a brown dial done right. Some of them are available only at our Watch Discovery Studio on Collins Street, Melbourne, so we invite you to come on do to see them in person when you have the time. This will allow you to appreciate the rich brown tones in all their natural beauty.
