TUBULAR VS SEATBELT NYLON:
Tubular nylon, being thinner and having a ribbed texture, offers exceptional strength. On the other hand, seatbelt nylon is flatter and provides a softer feel.
WHAT'S A NATO STRAP?
The "NATO Strap" was developed by the British Ministry of Defence (MOD) in 1973 to meet the need for a water-resistant watch strap, as leather straps were commonly used at the time, unsuitable for military use with chronograph watches featuring fixed strap bars.
The MOD introduced a 20mm wide nylon strap, incorporating an additional flap underneath to securely fasten the watch in place.
One of the remarkable features of NATO straps is their ease of interchangeability and affordability, enabling you to switch them out as frequently as your underwear – for students, that could mean daily changes!
