Fans of gradient finishes will have plenty to admire in the AWAKE Sơn Mà i Silver Leaf collection. Each dial is crafted during meticulous sessions of up to 10 hours, with artisans applying multiple layers of lacquer made from dehydrated Vietnamese Rhus verniciflua tree sap, then sanding and polishing each layer by hand. A silver leaf is applied by hand to give each model its own unique luminosity and surface texture.
Beyond its stunning dial texture, the AWAKE Sơn Mà i Silver Leaf itself is unapologetically uncomplicated. It’s crafted from recycled stainless steel and features a 39 mm diameter and is only 11.88 mm thick (sapphire glass included). There’s a smooth bezel embracing the largely minimalist dial and polished lugs that lead into a stylish leather strap.

As all AWAKE’s Sơn Mà i watches, the Silver Leaf models have blue-emitting Super-LumiNova BGW9 behind polished steel indexes and hands. This signature backlit design bathes the entire dial in a radiant glow after dark. Equipped with a screw-down crown, the watch also secures a rating of 50 m water resistance.
Art meets mechanics
The AWAKE Sơn Mà i Silver Leaf is not only visually stunning but also quite powerful. Inside, there’s a La Joux-Perret G101 automatic movement with a 68-hour power reserve, which serves at a frequency of 28,800 vph. AWAKE has also decorated it with a custom tungsten rotor and laser-engraved movement holder. This is visible through the screw-in case back with a sapphire display.
