Strap a reliable field watch from our collection to your wrist before you set off on your daily adventures.
1. Hamilton Khaki Field Expedition
Ready for a watch that's as adventurous as you are? Let us introduce you to the Khaki Field Expedition, a robust choice if you are the outdoorsy type. It's equipped with the 80-hour H-10 movement and water resistance of 100m, which means you can swear by it regardless of the terrain and weather.
The highly legible dial with contrasting, luminous markers and hands ensures the Khaki Field Expedition's success as a field watch. But the biggest draw is the bidirectional rotating compass bezel that promises to help you find your bearings every time.
Your colourway options include black, white, and blue, paired with a stainless steel bracelet or a leather strap. Your wrist size and preference will dictate whether you should go for a 37mm variant or a 41mm one.
2. Baltic x Time+Tide Hermétique Night Mode
If the field watch of your dreams is a trendsetter dressed in all black with just a pop of colour, make it a reality with the Baltic x Time+Tide Hermétique Night Mode.
This dapper piece has a 37mm PVD-coated stainless steel case in matte black attached to an FKM Tropic-style rubber strap in black (or khaki). The black dial topped with a double-domed sapphire crystal adds to the dark aesthetic.
Countering the "stealth mode" look are the yellowish markers and hands which glow dazzlingly green in the dark due to their C3 X1 Super-LumiNova coating. The calibre 9039, a premium movement from Miyota with a power reserve of 42 hours, powers the Hermétique Night Mode.
3. Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical Bronze
If you live life on the edge, a budget-friendly "beater" watch is a must-have in your watch collection. We recommend the Khaki Field Mechanical, the OG field watch, particularly this bronze version which promises to develop more character over time as it's exposed to the elements.
With white Arabic numerals laid out on a matte black dial encased in a 38mm bronze case paired with an antique-looking brown leather NATO strap, the watch is really something to look at. The subtly aged lume on the hour indices and hands completes the vintage aesthetic.
The watch uses a hand-wound H-50 movement from Hamilton, offering 80 hours of power reserve.
4. BOLDR Venture Sandstorm
Want to, ahem, venture into the world of microbrands? Do it with the much-loved Venture from Boldr Supply Co., a Singaporean brand that's rapidly gaining fans in watch circles.
With a high-contrast time-only dial, sans-serif Arabic numerals, broad hands, liberal application of lume, and 200m water resistance, the Venture passes the field watch test effortlessly. Its 38mm titanium case encloses the NH35A, a Japanese automatic movement.
The white-dialled Sandstorm variant shown here is one of four colourways you can pick from. It comes with a nylon fabric strap in a desert tan colour.
5. Zodiac Olympos STP 1-11 Swiss Automatic Three-Hand Brown Leather Watch
Simplicity meets ruggedness in this distinctive field watch from Zodiac. Its 40mm stainless steel case with a "manta ray" silhouette encloses a textured high-contrast dial with luminous champagne-coloured indices and hands. The 2 o'clock crown introduces some asymmetry and offsets the slightly dressy feel of the watch.
With a 200m depth rating, the Olympos is appropriately sporty in function. It runs on the STP 1-11, an automatic Swiss movement hidden behind a gorgeous caseback.
Choosing one of the two colourways available is a tough call. We have picked the tan-and-olive combination here, but the brown-and-grey version is equally tempting.
